Trucking Santas started in 2010 with one text message. From there, truckers and our friends entirely took care of 17 families for Christmas within a matter of weeks. These guys were the best and deserve all the credit in the world.
September we will be taking applications for help. We will be going for a full 501(c)(3) next year. I want two good years running before investing the time and money to make it a non-profit. If you have any more questions, or would like to incorporate Trucking Santas in an event you are hosting, please let me know. (Email is trkrsvoice@thetruckersvoice.net)

Everyone sometimes needs a word of encouragement, something to believe in and to make some sense in this crazy world.  Brother’s In Christ Christian Ministry is a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to leading non-Christians to know and accept Jesus Christ our Lord as their Personal Savior.  This ministry is also dedicated to leading those Christians who have fallen away from God back into his fold.  This ministry will utilize Christian audio programming, written messages, Christian counseling and prayer to accomplish the task God has laid before us.

In addition to active ministry in Russia, Zambia, and 33 locations in North America, TFC publishes a monthly magazine, Highway News and Good News, which is distributed across North America as well as in Africa and Australia. In 2010, TFC began partnering with Truckers Against Trafficking, an initiative dedicated to enlisting the help of all members of the trucking industry in the fight against human trafficking.

Stevie’s Light claims 501(c)3 status on the front page of the website link you provide, but I can find no evidence anywhere that they’ve been awarded tax exempt status.

The other organizations you list here are all found by a search of the IRS website using their form:
    http://www.irs.gov/app/pub-78/

But Stevie’s Light is not listed anywhere. They may be seeking nonprofit status but they have not shown an award letter or given an EIN.

I feel for the tragedy their family has endured and applaud their goals, but falsely claiming 501(c)3 status for the purpose of soliciting donations is fraud.

No arguments there Gina. Stevie’s Light is a new organization within the last month. Give the government some time to update their site. If in fact it turns out they are fraudulently claiming that status they will be removed from this page. As it stands now, I have no such inclination they are doing so.

The website is now defunct, and they still don’t show nonprofit status according to the IRS.
